What will be felt during Reiki Therapy?
The response to Reiki varies from person to person.
The recipient may be aware of a sensation of warmth or tingling where the hands rest. Sometimes it feels as if the hands have remained in one spot, yet in reality they have moved on. Colours, ranging from orange to purple may be seen on the periphery of ones vision.
There can be small and indefinable sensations within the body. On completion, and whilst alone during the rest period, the presence of the practitioner may still be felt.
However, we do not all have the same response, and none of the above may be encountered. Do not be disappointed, by virtue of its gentle nature the effects of Reiki are subtle and accumulative. The more often Reiki is received the more apparent are its effects.
Generally there can be a feeling of deep peace, relaxation, warmth, release of physical or emotional pain, and a sense of well being.
A body and mind with a restored sense of balance and perspective is inherently a healthier body. This is one of the benefits of Reiki therapy.
